Thank you for choosing us, and we are excited to embark on this journey with you. Our passion is capturing moments that will last you a lifetime!
WHEN BOOKING YOUR SESSION
When you book your session with us, we will send you a Client Questionnaire to get to know you better. It will help us determine your style, family dynamics, and help us narrow down a perfect location for your session.
BEFORE YOUR SESSION
About a week before your session, we will send you a reminder with the date, time and location to confirm your session. We will check in and answer any questions you may have about styling your session, coordinating with children or pets, or any other questions you may have.
DURING YOUR SESSION
Plan to arrive to your session on time! We will spend the first 5 minutes breaking the ice and getting everyone comfortable. You can expect high energy from us. If you have young children, also expect lots of funny noises to get those smiles rolling! We will pose you, so do not stress about how you will stand, or what you will do with your hands, during the session. We will make it easy and fun!
AFTER YOUR SESSION
You will receive access to your edited high resolution digital photos via an online gallery within 2 weeks of your session. After this, it is all up to you to print, share, and enjoy your beautiful photos.
General Styling Tips
There is no such thing as “too dressed up”! You will find that dressy photos are more captivating and stand out far more than routine casual ones.
You will want to avoid “matchy-matchy” outfits. We acknowledge that it can be tempting to dress your family up in a theme, your photos will be more stunning and stand out more if there is coordination without overly matching. We typically recommend following a color pallet that is coordinated with the season of your photography session. It is best to have no more than 1 or 2 people in the same color. It is always a great idea to include a pop of color, or a pop of pattern with one person. This will help balance out your photo and keep the attention on you and your family!
When you book your session with us, we will review your questionnaire and send you some style tips to help you coordinate color schemes with your location, family dynamics, and season.
Styling Tips For Her
SAY YES TO THE DRESS
Long flowing dresses and skirts will bring extra movement to your photos. They are also slimming and very becoming. Consider softer fabrics when selecting a dress.
FLATTER YOUR FEATURES
Choose silhouettes and colors that flatter your features. Heels always elongate your legs and help you look fabulous!
ACCESSORIES
Try to pair your outfit with one or two accessories. You do not want anything too busy, but something that pops and adds an extra dimension to the photos.
TREAT YOURSELF
This is a great time to pamper yourself! Get that special outfit you have always wanted and coordinate your family around your outfit. Get your nails, hair, and makeup done professionally to help yourself feel the best for your special day!
Styling Tips for Him
FIND THE BEST FIT
Long fitted pants with a closed-toed shoe will offer the most sophisticated and masculine look. This will draw attention directly to the face!
BRING IN LAYERS
Layers on men look amazing on camera, even when it is hot outside. Blazers, vests, and coats will bring in added dimension to the photo.
Mix it up with a coat, blazer, or vest of a different color than the pant.
DON’T FORGET THE DETAILS
Ties, bowties, watches, and pocket squares are sharp compliments to men’s attire. Although a small addition, they add another pop and dimension to the photos.
Styling Tips for Them
THINK LIKE ADULTS
The same style tips that applied to Her and Him will apply to them! Dresses for the girls and layers for the boys. Accessories will help add layers and pops of color. For boys don’t forget about the cute details like suspenders and bow ties! For girls hair bows, especially those that compliment the outfit!
DRESSY OVER CASUAL
Remember there is no such thing as too dressy for your photos. Dressing your children in something more dressy than casual will make your photos stand out! Look for something unique!
